Michael welcomed to Watson Buckle team

Bradford-based chartered accountants Watson Buckle have welcomed trainee accountant Michael Craven as the latest addition to their team.

Michael, 22, joined the firm on Monday, 6 July after completing a degree in Mathematics at Edinburgh University. Apart from his time at university, Michael has lived in Baildon, near Shipley, all his life, so has a good knowledge of the local area and the issues facing businesses in Yorkshire.

He has already started getting to grips with the methods used within bookkeeping at Watson Buckle, and his responsibilities will continue to expand as his training progresses.

Michael said: “After completing a degree in Mathematics I have a firm grasp of problem-solving along with the dedication to pursue a task until it is done. I’m enthusiastic about learning more and believe I’ll receive the necessary support structure at Watson Buckle to become a qualified chartered accountant.

“I’m looking forward to gaining the knowledge and understanding of how different businesses work, along with establishing a firm financial knowledge. I’m also looking forward to getting to know the rest of the team at Watson Buckle and becoming an important part of it.

“The major challenge I see ahead is passing all my exams at each stage of the qualification. I realise the exams are difficult but plan on working as hard as possible and passing all exams at the first attempt.”

Watson Buckle partner Mark Wilcock said: “We are delighted to welcome Michael to the Practice as part of our continuing growth and ongoing philosophy to provide top quality advice and service to clients in all of our specialist areas.”
