More exam success for Watson Buckle
Bradford-based chartered accountancy firm Watson Buckle is celebrating the success of one of its team members after she secured top marks in the final stage of her professional exams.
Heather Johnson, who joined the firm from university two-and-a-half years ago and predominantly works in the audit department, passed the final three papers of the Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), which is recognised worldwide as a leading financial business qualification.
She did so with the best marks in the Bradford area, and was awarded a cheque for £250 from the Bradford Chartered Accountant Students Society.
Heather will now continue to work at Watson Buckle as a fully-qualified accountant, building up her experience in different areas of the firm.
She said: “It came as quite a shock, but I was very pleased as I’ve always tried to work hard and do my best in my exams.
“I’ve enjoyed learning the ropes as an accountant at Watson Buckle over the last two-and-a-half years and look forward to continuing to build up my experience with them.”
Watson Buckle partner Mark Wilcock added: “We’re delighted that another of our trainees has passed their final exams, and particularly pleased that Heather did so with the best score in the area.
“She’s a valued member of the team here at Watson Buckle and we are confident she has a bright future ahead of her.”
