Alan W Thornton, FCA

Alan, a partner in MGI Watson Buckle, joined the firm in April 2003, bringing three decades of accountancy experience to the role.

A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA), he was for nine years a partner at one of the oldest independent firms of chartered accountants in Manchester and a partner at, a leading independent practice in Yorkshire for 17 years.

He is experienced in general accountancy practice, with particular expertise in financial management, taxation and corporate finance, and specialises in working with solicitors, pharmacies, engineering and property businesses.

Alan’s experience in receiverships is particularly useful in identifying solutions for clients facing financial difficulties.
